I have the demo version and it doesn't let me use cheats. Is there any way I can enable them?

In the main menu. Go to console mode by pressing the tilde key (it looks like this ~). Then type "devmap q3dm1". You can change the q3dm1 to whichever map you want i.e. q3dm4 would be the fourth map. Then once the map loads simply press the tilde key again. And type the code you want.

Thanks. Do you know how to make this work in multiplayer? My roommate is kicking my ***** and I want to see his face when I beat him. I won't make if obivious of course.

I don't think u can cheat with any online games.

I agree with osgood111. I don't believe you can enable the cheats in multi player. But that's not to say you can't still cheat!
1. Buy an Intelleye mouse (I prefer Logitech's)! It will improve your performance by quite allot!
2. While He's not around. Load allot of programs that run in the background of his PC! He'll get terrible frame rates! Thus messing him up!
3. Tie a string around his mouse cable. right ware it connects to the PC. then every once and a while pull it. So his mouse gets disconnected (only if it's USB). Or tape the cord to the back of the table so it gets stuck in the midst of combat!
4. Mess with his Q3 config! Changing strafe right to strafe left. Strafe left to switch weapons! You get the idea!
5. Hide a tape player under his desk. And have it play noises at random. So he gets distracted.
6. Rig a 500 pound anvil to fall on his PC at the flip of a switch! heh!
7. rent another apartment. Because he's going to kick your A out if you do all I said!

Actually if your doing /devmap, it starts a multiplayer game with the cheats turned on. Your bud can connect to your server once you do that..
