CFS 2 won't see CD Rom

I've installed it with virtual drive and the regular way and both don't work. It says can't locate CD Rom. Is there a setting I can change? I've looked everywhere and everything is encoded. I'm have Soyo 6vba 133 Mobo and a Memorex 48x rom. This is the only game I have problems with. Any Ideas or if someone knows of a patch because MS is about as much help as none at all.

If you can install the game but not run it because of the cd protection then get the no-cd patch from www.gamecopyworld.com (http://www.gamecopyworld.com) .

You can also go to http://www.simvaition.com
and they have the no cd patch also for CFS1 & 2. The patch for one I'm a little leary of. I have trouble launching the game now at the zone. CFS2 works fine.

Sorry for not responding sooner. My computer decided to take a vacation. I tried the no CD crack and it worked. I had tried another one and it didn't so I thought this was a dead end. Thanks for the help.
