Yes it is an excellent game...I heard that BG II came out recently..I will have to pick that up shocksyde 10-17-2000, 06:56 AM actually i meant to ask, "has anyone played baldur's gate II?" shock Snuffy! 10-18-2000, 07:40 AM Yeah, I got Baldurs Gate 2 last week, it kicks ****! And The awesome thing about it, is that I can play at 1600x1200 resolution, which looks so awesome, because in Baldurs Gate, you could only play at a max res of 640x480 The start of Baldurs Gate 2 is so wicked, you wake up in this dungeon, and you have to free your comrades and break out, and the game is billions of times bigger than the first, and there are heaps more items, npc's etc, definitely worth buying. skuz 10-18-2000, 11:55 AM Yeah, BG2 is a really great game, the best crpg I've played so far. Hey Snuffy, you play at 1600x1200, do you actually see your characters ?? I switched back to 640x480 after trying 800x600 because my characters were too small. Gryph 10-24-2000, 09:58 AM Baldur's Gate is my favorite game by far. I like the extensive playability and storyline. (Although I wish it were a little less linear) I think that Baldur's gate II has cleared up the few things that I didn't like about it. It is'nt a great 3D environment, but the detail is excellent. It lets you create and name and modify your own character. (that has always been one of my pet peeves with RPGs) If you ever liked AD&D as a kid (or adult?) you will love this game. Snuffy! 10-25-2000, 07:19 AM Yeah Skuz, i can see the characters well, I just can't read the text on the screen well, but it's worth it, cause everything looks so **** sharp http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Oli 10-25-2000, 11:13 AM Very good game, I played it a little time because I try to finish Icewind Dale (very good) pete_g 11-09-2000, 10:44 AM BG 1 rules. I have a question. Do u need baldur's gate 1 to play the second. Can u import characters from BG1 to BG2? I'm thinking of buying it. Thanks Snuffy! 11-11-2000, 09:17 PM No you don't need Baldurs Gate 1 to play Baldurs Gate 2, and no, you can't import your characters from one to the next. But thats because in BG2, you start as a level 7 character anyway. Oli 11-14-2000, 08:40 AM Sorry but you can import one character from BG I to BG II, you lost experience and all your items. But I play with the same characters as I played BG I. You don't need BG I to play BG II. [This message has been edited by Oli (edited 11-14-2000).] SysOpt.com
