Remember the brouhaha about the W2K, IWon contests which some Members (and others) felt slighted by, as these contests were open only to U.S. citizens?

Well, CodeGuru.com has a Poll going so you can vote your thoughts on the matter.

Please read the intro carefully and take the Poll - let your voices be heard. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

It's also a great site for Programmers.

"I don't have a problem with it at all"

Of course, I live in GA so why would it bother me. I know its usually not the web sites choice so no reason to get upset at them personally (sorry medo, I do feel for ya though).

When a contest involves software some times even the Software company has to obey US Laws and not allow export! there are others like Harris Poll that pay cash to get round this situation, hopefully as the web becomes more dominant in its use, the ability for prizes to be sent to more and more countries will increase. after all any one winning a prize in any country is good advertisement.

Thanks for the link socalgal very much appreciated. As for the non-export... that really does not apply to Canada as it is exempt from alot of the laws. For example Canada is the only other country that can get the 128 bit encryption at this time legally.

just my 2 cents (1.33 cents canadain) worth

Thanks again socalgal.
