Another GeForce/Diablo II prob

I have a GeForce2 MX and when I run Diablo II it freezes at the screen right before character selection. This is the screen that comes up after the movie into (which work fine). Any suggestions?

I too am having problems with diablo2. I have the gforce 256 ddr. When I get to the screen you are talking about, the screen starts breaking up into erratic triangles. I have tried the newest drivers, but with no luck. the game plays fine in 2d mode. But not 3d. Have you ran the video test and chosen 2d? Does anyone have any suggestions to our problem?

I have tried the 2D and it did work, but I think I have a different problem, because the problems are intermittent...good luck

I had a similar problem as well but I resolved it by doing the video detect,picked D3D,then went into the registry and deleted the settings for video.The game didn't try to re-detect the card and defaulted to D3D.
You could also try changing the D3D setting in the display\settings\GeForce256\direct3d.
