I wasn't impressed by the first CFS - I thought the Spitfire flight model was like a cinder block and there wasn't much life in the campaign/missions either. The terrain was very good though. European Air War (with all the recent add-ons) is still top of the pile for me, though I play Falcon4 and Comanche vs Hokum more at the moment...

I also hear that CFS2 won't have torpedoes (the best bit of the PAW IMO!) http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

I'm holding out for B17 Flying Fortress www.b17flyingfortress.com (http://www.b17flyingfortress.com) and Oleg Maddox's IL2 Sturmovik (at last! an eastern front flightsim!!). THese are going to rock if they are ever released!

ahh cool some flight simmers yea cfs is about the only game that will tear me away from RS/UO 2 bad it dosnt support more planes in 1 game.....that looks like a cool upgrade...but isnt that out allready?i havnt played cfs in awhile cause i broke my joystic in some heavy combat http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif but sometime soon i should be tearing up the skys..several peeps in my RS/UO clan have the game and im tring 2 get them all 2 start playing it agin..our clan name is Force...so i told them we need a AirForce.. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gifbut it hasnt worked yet.. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif..and with covert ops comming soon its might not ever work..lol.. ive checked out that b-17 game it looks killer 2

Anyhew, I get....excited...when I see the words, Six .50 cal. Browning M2 machine guns. hehehehe

Although, nothing beats the P-47 Thunderbolt's EIGHT .50s.

I'm going to buy that game just so I can fly the P-38. I am absolutely enamored with that plane. Richard Bong (the WWII Ace of Aces) flew the Lightning and also happened to be from my hometown, so I grew up going to my Dad's softball games which were played right next door to Bong's plane, so I saw the baby a lot. I've seen two other P-38's (there are five left in the world last I heard), and hope to get the opportunity to see the rest. Sorry for rambling but I just love that machine so much, I can't shut up.
