Problem with HL/CS/TFC

Have a BIG problem with HL and the mods. When playing anytime, single player or online. If I hit "esc", I go out to the menu and can't get back into the game. Is there there a problem with the current V3 drivers or WickedGL drivers? I am currently running both for V3 3000 agp

I also use a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP but without the WickedGL drivers and i play CS every day.

After pressing escape to get to the menu (usualy by mistake when going for the console http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif) i just hit escape again to rejoin the game. Never had any problems with it.

I have seen higher pings (~250 instaed of ~180) and lock ups since installing Beta 7 though which i never had with earlier versions of CS. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

i have no more lockups than before (rare)..and my ping is the same since they did not change the netcode at all (thta is on half life patches...)
but with all the new textures my fps dropped by half
if you have had half life installed for along time you might try teinstalling it...i re do minii every 6 weeks or so...

Thx Neo i think the higher ping may have been a problem with my ISP as there have been a few complaints about the same thing on the NG's.

I've only had it installed for about 3 weeks but you may be right as i have been messing about with the new bots and adding extra maps and stuff quite a bit lately.
