Actually, Gamecopyworld DOES in fact have several solutions for burning/copying the game. Go to their Forum and key search "Deus Ex"
You will see a ton of posts about it. If you have a NEW burner, you don't need a crack/patch because the game isn't protected. You just need to be able to burn a 80 minute CD (Not all burners allow this)

Have fun reading.. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Actually, if your CD-writer can overburn. A 74 minute CD will work too http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif But overburning can damage your burner, so be careful! 80 minute CD's are really cheap now too, so to be safe, do what the guy above me said! Good luck!

actually, maybe you could send me the link?? i was all over gamecopyworld and the only info they have is how to install it, and use a no cd crack which does me no good. i need to make a dupe of this and cant find what i need for ****........im using nero, and i do have the option to overburn as well. cant even copy it to the hard drive and make a data cd cuz it wont let you rename it the same. too many characters in it. thanx.....

heres what happens. at the moment i have adaptec installed. the cd is named:
DeusEx_v1002f(D http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif but if you try to name it that way, it just says that you cant use a :, and it asks you if you want to have adaptec fix it. which dont work. on top of that, it keeps booting my cd out (80 minute, which IS enough space) saying the disc isnt large enough. im not sure where to enable overburning, i know how in nero. god this is annoying...........

If Nero won't make an image, you'll have to somehow copy it to your HD first. You should be able to highlight it and copy it from Explorer. If not, copying from DOS Prompt should do the trick. The characters are too long? Doesn't Win98 support like 16 characters or something like that? I haven't seen the game yet, so I'm trying to help based on other games I've done. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I think that's your problem. You can't use Adaptec to burn CD's that are protected http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I have never successfully burned a game CD with Adaptec yet. If copying it to your HD won't work, then you can try "clonecd" or "blindread" if your burner supports them. Good luck!

Obviously your copying this game for your own backup purposes.

When you rename the disk miss the ( D: ) at the end as this is only the drive that the disk is in and not part of the CD label.

As for whether your software will copy protected CD's i wouldn't know.

Aura: Yep, I've been using 80's to back up my data with adaptec and it works fine http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I think your burner has to be able to do it though.

Ive been able to burn 80's on Sony CD-right, but not on adaptec..seems no matter what, adaptec assumes I have a 74 minute disc in there...
