This is my first time adding cars to NFS 4. I did it all the time in NFS 3. I figured it would work the same. I read the "readme" files and found out it does. I dl a car, put it in the /data/car directory into a folder with a 4 letter name. It should show up in the menu, right? Well, it doesn't.
BTW, I had to change the serial number (in VIV Wizard) to something else because the game wouldn't start. When I saved, two messages came up, one after another: "Serial numbers differs in FEDATE/CARP.TXT objects. Save anyway?" and "Identity differs in FEDATA objects. Save anyway?".
In all the FEDATA.*** files, the serial number is the same as the CARP.TXT file.
I installed the patch that lets you play modded cars in single player. But it doesn't even work in split screen.
Ok....just right clicked on FEDATA.ENG and clicked "Synchronize"/ "...number from generated". It set the serial number to 60 (was 80) for the FEDATA and CARP files. I clicked Save and no messages came up. But it still doesn't show up in the menu.
Help????
