I am new to Linux and have recently installed Mandrake 7.1 Are there any open source games that are good? AMD 500 Voodoo 3 AGP. and dont have the bucks for duplicate games. I have Half-Life and UT for Windows BLAH! Hating Microsoft right now. Can anyone help?

You said you hate windows and you need windows to play it!! :-)
I dont know but Quake 2 works with linux i dont know if Quake 3 arena also works with it

Actually, I believe you can get the extra executables you need to run UT from Linux (at least I do know it is possible... the second issue of Maximum Linux discussed it). So at least you have UT.

And if you have that, what do you need anything else for anyway? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

If you still are tryin to get UT working, go download the Unreal Tournament 400a Patch from Loki I guess, I dont really have time to find the link right now, but then do tar xvfz *whatever that patch is called*, should have setup.sh, or something, type sh setup.sh, or chmod +x setup.sh, ./setup.sh, If I was in Linux right now Id tell you exact commands, maybe later, scratch all that, just download a full install patch from http://www.lokigames.com/products/ut/updates.php3
