I'm building a webpage using Yahoo Geocites, and when I tried to insert a .bmp image, it said that file format is not acceptable. So what's the best proggie that will convert .bmp files to .jpeg ?!?

Oh, if you know any other great tools that you can use when building a webpage, post 'em!
Thanks

Me just figure u could dl some photo proggy and clicky save to jpeg and ure all set. Me use Ulead's Photo Impact because it is easy to find stuff. Others use Jasc Paint Shop Pro but me thinks it is hard to find stuff with it. Eny of those proggys will help u with yore web design stuff.

Well,... for any Pic file I say go to Adobe Photoshop, but if you cant afford the $500 for it you might want to check out MGI Photo Suite. It has most of the basic features that Photoshop has for your needs and costs a lot less.

(all you have to do is open the file as is and then : File\Save As.. and choose Jpg from the scroll down list on the bottom of the menu)

Mojo: Thanks alot, it turns out all I had to do was just save it as a different file type, I should have thought of that! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Also list any free progs that have to do with image design or webpage design.
Once again, thanks

I found a useful tool for those of you in webpage design. If you have .jpeg images on your website then you might want to try visiting the online JPEG Wizard at http://www.jpegwizard.com

This tool will compress your images so they won't take up so much space.
