I jumped over to Romulus2 site from the link here and was reading a few posts when I jumped into gaming. It looks like they are starting a clan, or gathering members.
I believe that I saw someone make the comment that SysOpt already has a clan, or a group that plays UT/Q3/etc?
If this is the case. Where do I sign up? My main affliction would have to be UT, but I can adapt to any of the other games.
If there isn't any type of clan here. Would anyone be interested in gathering for some frag fests?
I would have posted on Rom2's site, but it was my first visit and I try to view this one every afternoon.

Lets see some replies!

I currently host a server for my q3 clan, & i would be willing to make it availible for sysopt members/clan.

Well, if you get one together for UT, my forum would be happy to host a freindly match. Matrox runs us a password protected server on a (usually) good multi-T1 hookup.

Drop in the Matrox Games forums at the MURC:
forums.matroxusers.com (http://forums.matroxusers.com)
We're always up for a good round of TFC http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Also, check our clan page, including all of the downloads/mods needed to get on the server:

Well, we don't have a clan here per se (at least not yet), but our distributed computing forum guys have hooked up with AnandTech's distributed computring forum and are working on creating a Linux-based gamebox (hopefully on an OC-12) with Q3A, Q3 demo, UT demo, and Unreal Tournament full (saved the best for last http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif). Lord Demios will also add any requested games if they have a linux-based server available.

I'm not sure if we can have an 'official' clan (Earthweb policies and such), but I'm pretty sure that a bunch of users could band together and creat an 'unofficial' ones if you want to. So if you guys want to, get the ball rolling and we'll see what we can do to give ya'll a hand.

So be sure and check out the distributed computing forum and crack some rc5 in the meantime. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
