why does my freaken Unreal say General Protection fault

it says that when i load it, but it loads at safe mode. i have no idea what's causing it.

Video drivers. Get the latest drivers for your video card. Try www.glsetup.com (http://www.glsetup.com) for the best bet on drivers for most any video card. Their program detects your card, and then installs the recent stable release of video drivers for it. Check out the "Web setup" instead of the monolithic install. (That will make sense when you get to the glsetup page.) Every problem I've had with UT has been fixed by changing video drivers. The older ATI Rage128 drivers I was running would crash at the oddest times, but newer drivers cleaned it right up.

I had the same trouble but I updated my Voodoo3 drivers and all is now well.
