I started this thread in another forum but didn't get much response so I'll try it again here:
I recently attempted to install Age of Empires II and Get Medieval on my system. Both installations ran fine, but when I try to run the games I get a Blue Screen. I can hit a key and continue without locking up the system, but the games don't load. Additionally Win98 reports that another device is using the sound card when I attempt to play a .wav file. I don't know if the problems are related. I will be buying a new sound card soon. This is just one I had lying around.
I'm running the following system:
Motherboard: FIC VA-503+ Rev 1.2A Latest BIOS
Memory: 64M PC100 SDRAM
Video: ATi Rage Pro 16M AGP 2x
Sound: Creative Sound Blaster 16
Drive: 4 Gig WD ATA 33
CD: 16x
OS: Win98 SE
