I haven't played Thief II: The Metal Age before I was wondering what people thought of it.

I was wondering if I should get Thief II, I haven't played Thief I or Gold so I might miss a bit of the storyline... So is the gameplay good?

I saw thief II at sams for I think $32. I almost bought it.
