The only time that file is used is when you're dual-booting. A Ghoul 05-27-2000, 05:02 AM yes, I am turning my workstaion to mutibooting ntfs and fat 32, I am not sure if this is possible or not though... primary master:100%ntfs (win2000) primary slave:100%fat32 (win98) here is my mutiboot, it ain;t working [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect c:\="Microsoft Windows 98" tantone 05-27-2000, 05:14 AM Are you trying to force it dual-boot after installing both drives, or did you install 98 first, then install 2000 over it on a different drive to dual-boot? I'm not sure about Win2K (as I can't afford to run out and buy it to start playing yet), but NT has to be installed after Win95/98/DOS for a dual-boot situation. SysOpt.com
