What happened to the Unreal Tournament server (Pantion?). Did you here at SysOpt ever have that UT rumble?

I'm thinking about setting up a UT server - it wouldn't be affiliated with EarthWeb but it would be available for those here in the forum who want to have a go at it - including myself..

Have any of you guys completed the first player mode bit. I'm stuck on the very last challenge level where it's just you again Xan. I think I need some cheats or something http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

cheats ruin the game. You need to keep xan from getting the shields and weapons. Just play a few times and remember where they are. Then get them everytime they appear. He beat me a lot before I figured this out. Now I can waste him.

I'm also good at dominations. I play dominations with Godlike bots and a max score of 600. I can actually win them too! My fav. map is DM-StalwartXL because it plays well and it has excellent usage of S3TC.

Man..I got TFC roots, but ill probably get some frags in on UT too. You know what stage is cool? the one with the long passage ways and the 2 temples at either end (CTF) and theres this reallllly nice sniper ledge on each temple...THAT is sweet.

Sorry I disappeared all this time, but I had many personal and work related problems. The UT server was taken down and I can no longer make it run because the network is overloaded. The systems department installed too many network nodes for laptop users and now the 10Mps intranet along with the 2 T1 and the T3 connections are giving nothing more than 2K performance.

Sorry, but it will just be a laggy server and bandwidth is a most now. When the upgrade of the internal network and outside connections are done I will ask for the server again. But for now sorry and hope Scott sets up a good and reliable server http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Ok, I have a server set up and I'd like to test it. Email me for the IP and we'll see about getting a game going tonight. I think it would be best to try to have games scheduled rather than just having it open at all times because it uses my main DSL pipe.

Thanks Scott, server seems great even though I got my **** mutilated and ejected. Now if we can set up a time when everyone can get together on a weekly basis or something it would rock. (and give my some time to practice too http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif )

If your trying to play a newer game, the included game finder usually works pretty well (Q3A, UT, Halflife). Your too far out in cyberspace usually only happens at places like MPlayer and Heat.net. Another thing you may wanna try if you have an older game is GameSpy.

I have been gaming at 56k forever..not very fun to get headshotted 50 times by a low pingin sniper.
