more problems

unfortunatly its a longish question...Tried to install Sims on my laptop...needed to upgrade DirectX to Direct X7..went to Microsoft upgrade site...and loaded...Now when I click on the Sims icon..I get the busy signal then back to the arrow cursor. Went to Direct X in program files..itindicates the upgrade...but comes it also gives me this message "Error:problem getting extra display info. result code=Ox88760249(can't create DC)"....I have no clue as what to do....Again,,,each time I clik on the exe icon....hour glass....then back to arrow.....I loaded the game twice..it plays fine on my home PC.

Please don't post in more than one forum, as it makes troubleshooting difficult when both threads are being replied to... it's hard to keep track.

It is okay to 'Up' your thread by replying to it yourself after a day or so if you're not getting replies.
