MX400 Joystick not working

I just picked up the MX400 and my system cannot find my Wingman Digital. It worked just fine minutes before on an old ISA OPL3 board, but i wanted to find out what a "good card" can do for me. So far, not to much as i cannot even play my newest game- Superbike 2000. Device Manager shows the gameport joystick as being ok. It just does not show up when it is time to calibrate. It shows up, but nothing happens...
Please help, or back the card goes.
