Downloaded the HalfLife and UT demos, AWESOME. How would these games perform with the 56k dialup? Is it worth it?

I connect at 48k.
I play Halflife - Team Fortress about every other day...I play with a 180ish ping when theres about 9 ppl around, and about 250 when theres about 15.

i play half life with my 56k, and connect at 53k, most of the time it is no problem with less than ten people on...but tomorrow i say bye to my modem...cable modem gets installed then!!!

Gee, you guys are lucky! In West Palm Beach I can't get cable or DSL, screwy!!

Oh man, I wouldn't even touch those games with any telephone line. Lag to the core. Not to mention it slows down alot of the other higher speed gamers. Anything above a ping of 70 really sucks.
