i just bought a p3 coppermine chip and i am using the abit bh6 board and it works fine but i want the best board for my new chip please advise me on what board should i get .
Abit says that my ver. of my mother board might run in to some voltage problems but i have not seen any yet.I run a tnt2 viper ultra.I know i should post this repley in the motherboard section but i get know advise there so i came here.I got a couple of replies but i need to know if the intel boards r ready or go with the be6abit PLEASE help im tring to get this compter ready for my husband he doesnt know anything about compters and i want to suprise him when he gets back from overseas

Boy, I sure hope you set the voltage right on that thing....or we won't be hearing from you for a while on that chip. It should be running at either 1.6 or 1.65 volts. Standard p3's run at 2.0 volts. If your board is forcing it to run at that voltage, it will surely be fried soon.

Well ye this shoulda probably been in m/bs, but whats done is done, well until socalgal sees =)

But I'd probably recommend a Soyo 6VBA (pretty cheap too) or the BF6. Check around and see what other people are running their coppermines with.
