In My Computer, the C:drive is shown as being 6.0GB, the hardrive is a 15GB Maxtor Diamond Max, and the BIOS shows it as being 15GB, while Windows 98SE shows it as being 6.0GB!

Please help, thank you

Hows it partitioned? As one giant 15 GB primary (if that's possible)?

I haven't made a partition (ie. w/FDISK or anything else, when i bought the drive I installed Win98SE and all of the drivers and went on from there!)

I think I might've made a big mistake, but I need confirmation!

http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif I'm feelin bad right now...looks like I have to erase everything on this new HD and start all OVER!!! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Jadison,

If you don't want to start completely over get a copy of Partition Magic (5.0 is the newest so 4.0 can be had for a song and works great except it will not support win2k but 5 will if you download the update)

PM will allow you to enlarge the existing partition and enclose the space that is not allocated currently or if you don't want to make it into 1 large partition you can just use FDISK and choose option #3 to create an extended partition and then you create the actual dive space within the extended space.

Mntsnow: I forgot about that http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
Speaking of which, is there a cheaper proggie that 'll do the same thing as partition magic?

Also can I use FDISK without erasing anything on my Hardrive?

ANy tips are greatly appreciated!
