Warthog codybear 05-25-2000, 03:30 PM Scott hd581 05-25-2000, 03:40 PM Aside from the Mod/admin/editor, I think Plucky Duck has been here for some time... chipbgt 05-25-2000, 04:02 PM hard to tell since i remember back when you didnt have to register in order to post and post count wasnt kept track of and it was all one forum =) Eli 05-25-2000, 04:19 PM chipbgt, I remember those days as well... Back when I used to post under my real name but one day someone posted the same message like five times under the same name. Ah, the good old days... lol daveleau 05-25-2000, 07:25 PM Sorry, but Plucky has not been here very long. Much less of a time than me. I believe Mntsnow is an 'elder' member http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif You'd be surprised at the amount of lurkers that do not post often that have been here forever... Dave hd581 05-25-2000, 07:34 PM Oh no? What do you consider a long time, dave? Plucky seems to have registered sometime around March last year. Prob here b4 registering since as chip says, you didn't have to back then. Maybe YOU would be surprised at the amount of people who've been here long but don't post often. brandon184 05-25-2000, 07:40 PM hd581 - *I* have been here since March of last year.. I don't consider that long at all. wtp 05-25-2000, 08:00 PM scott since he found it, but for non administrative memebers, i think it's CMONSTER, as i heard he introduced SocalGal (our moderator) here. SocalGal and Mntsnow has a hell of a lot of posts. I think SocalGal has more though. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif wtp http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif hd581 05-25-2000, 08:07 PM Well it seems we all measure by a different ruler then... codybear 05-25-2000, 09:10 PM I first found sysopt in april or may of 97 daveleau 05-25-2000, 09:15 PM I stand corrected in my saying PD was here after I was. Sorry PD. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/redface.gif I did believe there were others here much longer though... I will be the first to admit that while I have several posts, I am relatively new here compared to many. Dave chipbgt 05-25-2000, 09:21 PM I like to consider myself a lurker, i have been watching sysopt since early 97 but didnt start posting much until last year. RaeRae 05-25-2000, 10:23 PM I found sysopt sometime in high school, in my Junior year later 96 or so . . . I don't post too often anymore but I check in every now and again for interesting reading. Yeah, it was nice when it was one big forum, though bad advice was often passed and sometimes over looked. I am curious if anyone is still around from back when . . . jokostel 05-25-2000, 10:40 PM im thinking mntsnow....^ scott & socalgal... heck i think i knew of this place only mid 98'... started posting a long while after that.. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif jokostel Mntsnow 05-25-2000, 11:54 PM Well I know that BBA, Bleeding Edge, Myself and a few others were here before the change over to the new style bbs. When the change over accurd I was a big time lurker with very little posting as I was surfing about 10 to 15 different boards. When I finally went "professional" (meaning getting my ms certs thats when I really started posting) but I know that there were a few others that were actually here before me that are still active. Yep...Socalgal has the most posts out of anybody on the board! (although I think I'm in 2nd as if that really mattered http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/biggrin.gif ) Mntsnow chipbgt 05-26-2000, 01:07 PM well we all know mntsnow is just here to up his post count anyways =P I kinda miss the old days..not that I would trade them for what sysopt is now but it was still interesting. Back when Scott was still a runny nosed teenager...Now he's asking what color porsche he needs to get and is seen chatting on zdtv with Leo http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Scott what do yous ee yourself doing 5 years from now? still with sysopt or moving on to bigger things? I would be more than happy to take over for ya j/k socalgal 05-26-2000, 01:26 PM I wish I HAD been around before the *change* - alas I was not. Correct, CMonster introduced me to SysOpt, and anyone can see I've been registered only since 05-21-99. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I'm a newcomer compared to some of you! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif As to number of posts/status, which seems to never fail to bring up a discussion, I could care less who has how many posts. It's Quality of posts that counts! Posting Quality is the best rep to have around here. Helping others the best you know how with what you know, is the best rep you can have around here. I've seen some of the best advice from those just coming aboard. Someone also could have been registered for over a year and still have Member status (or whatever) - it just doesn't matter, IMHO. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif SysOpt.com
