Quake 3 and NT

I know that Quake 3 Test will not work on Windows NT but I noticed that all the places online pre-ordering Quake 3 Arena say its 95/98/NT compatible. Is thie true? I can't find any place on id's page or activisions page stating this. Thanks

q3arena (both 1.08 and 1.09) runs perfectly on my NT4.0-System (Athlon500/TNT1) cause q3 uses openGL and not direct3d.
