I don't like having my hd in the 31/2 bay cuz only the front two screws will fit. I want it to be more secure and the back not be able to move around so I have to put it in one of my 5 1/4 bay but the only space is on top of my cd-rom or between my cd-r and exhaust fan.

It's already runs hot but will probably get hotter under my cd-r. I'm not too impressed with the exhaust fan from 3dcool. And I read some bad things about them and their products.

So who makes or sells the best hard drive fans? I looked at 3dfxcool.com but they say "The two fans pump out tons of air, sorry I don't know the exact cfm spec but you can feel they really move it along in a fast manner." So I'm not sure if it's as good.

So what do you all think? I'll be needing a better system fan also. The one I had moved so **** slow

Thanks

I just looked at both of thsoe 2 web sites again and it looks like they have the exact same 'ultimate hard drive cooler' except 3dfxcool's is $8 cheaper and has stickers on teh 2 fans that say 3dfxcool. Are there any better places or should I just go with 3dfxcool?

when it comes to computer cooling, YOU always make the best products. Making something customly cost sometimes WAY less than buying it from a manufacturer. Custom = YOUR WAY, and YOUR OWN COOLING. Enough sed http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Yes I couldn't agree even MORE!!! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

But for those who don't know enough about cooling and dont want to take the time and effort to do so, they result to buying custom made products from people who know what theyre doing. And most always the products people buy will work!

But speaking for myself I would rather gain the experience and know how from doing it 1st hand http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

That's why I build computers instead of buying them from whole-built from an outlet store!
