Basically what the question is asking, I've been tempted to check the mark next to DMA in My Computer's Properties, SiSoft Sandra said allowing DMA support will improve performance, but I don't want to check it if the HD doesn't support it!
I don't have the documentation for the HD.

Thanks

I'd bet it does. You're probably safe to go ahead and check it. Haven't seen many an IDE these days that doesn't support DMA...

If you want a 2nd opinion, use DMA check (http://support.microsoft.com/download/support/mslfiles/Dmachcki.exe) from Microsoft. Flip DMA on, and if it takes, (after reboot) then it supports it.

nearly all HDD above 6gig will support it and I am willing to bet that your 15gig certainly does.
