im looking for a combined units that has all this

cd+rw+dvd burner
cd+audio+rw+dvd playback

it has to be external and i would like it if it could work even with out a comp such as the DVD units that u connect directly to your tv but its not a req

does it exist ?

The last time I looked, DVD burners that would store movies were around $15,000.

DVD RAM burners start around $430 and there likely is one that does what you want - but no movies. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
