Dell's laptop with Docking Station

I have a brand new laptop to configure. The problem is that it the floppy drive would not work when the system is docked. The CD-Rom is working right. When I open "My Computer" and try to open a floppy, the system just hangs and I have to do "The Three Finger Solute"(CTRL-ALT-DELETE)and it says that "My Computer" is not responding. This is a Dell Latitude CPi docked on Latitude C/Dock II, 400 MHz, 128Mg, Windows95.

Edit--- When I ran Dell's Diagnostics Utilitie, it did not find any errors. ----Edit
