Multiplayer Quake Question

I have the demo of Quake II, and I wanted to do a multiplayer game, where is a good server that I could join to start playing against other people. I've never played a multiplayer game over the internet, so I'm kind of new to how all of this works.
Any info, would be greatly appreciated!

hey man, all i do is play q2, an ip for a server that is pretty good is quake2.clouds.net (just put that in the address book)
another one is 206.129.216.22:27910
i don't know what the 27910 means, but u prolly don't even have to put it on there anyways...
i'll check when I can figure out what the hell is wrong with my gaming comp to see what the IP for the server called webzone (it may me the text one mentioned above, but I'm not sure)
