Bass Fishing is great! Hope you catch the big ones. That's a pretty nice fish JohnPaul. I caught a 9 pounder with a spinning reel with 6 pound test line. Talk about luck. I thougth i was going to loose it. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Good luck to you.

Update: Stark, Kansas (you know, just north o' Chanute).
Fish story:
Well we sharpened our hooks real good, but the only thing we caught so far is these things called Minnas. I just throw em back cause they aren't very big. I don't know why my brother gets so mad when I ask him to bait my hook for me...
To be continued...

That is a mighty nice fish, but actually, I took the photo. The man holding the fish caught it and considered having it mounted, but the taxidermist wanted over a hundred dollars and the man decided on bass steaks, instead.

Ahh yes, that would be one of those Plastic Bass, and like the air-brushed women in the flesh magazines they do not really exist- they are just there to entice people into buying fising gear....they don't really exist.
Hey - I'm into "catching" not "fishing."

Ahhh, Kansas. My mom was born in Kansas City, KS as was her mom and relatives, so I enjoy going there to visit my family (most are 60+ though, but love seein 'em every time! I use to go atleast once a year since 1992, but haven't been back for about 2 1/2 years http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
In fact, the 1st time I ever went fishing with my 1st pole, reel, and lure, @ a stock pond in Emporia KS I caught a 5 1/2 Largemouth Bass! I'll post a picture later on, but it was exciting for me at the time, I guess it was beginner's luck http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
Good luck on catch'in some BIG FISH AKABruno, be careful not too lose any good lures, or FISH http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
