I got this from http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=39&threadid=311003
http://www.distributed.net/download/prerelease.html
I got almost 10% increase but the only bug Ive found is the client doesnt always maximize correctly.
I hope they fix it soon.

I have used it for a few days... But something's wrong according to this thread (http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/Forum7/HTML/001214.html)
Did you see anything strange about those numbers?

I just D/L'd it and started it running. I'll see if it's any faster http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Might just have to reload about 100 cows if it is http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I don't think the new client is faster, on my Athlon, it's a little slower http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

The client's speed appears to be the same as the current release, maybe a tad slower. I just upgraded my video driver so I can't tell for sure.

Anyone tried it on a P4? I'm thinking they might have added some optimization.

But I don't think that they can optimize it for a P4. At least that was what this whole discussion was about. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Here's the MOOOOOOOO Sound link http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif It's on the Distributed.net site under downloads/3rd party...
ftp://ftp.distributed.net/pub/dcti/unsupported/moosounds10.zip
It's great! Drives my wife nutz at home and people at work look at my cows kindda funny. I put it on a machine in one of the class rooms, that didn't go over very good http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif You'll have fun with it, especially if you also d/l the "big cow" desktop pic http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

It's sooo cute LMAO http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
Thanks Randy,
I had looked at almost everything at dnet, but not there. I'm downloading tonight, can't wait to start the mooing.

Brydon, you might have a problem here:
[networking]
keyserver=24.72.9.177.:8080
autofindkeyserver=no
