I stumbled across this board and it looks like a great place for advice. I am a complete novice. I trade CDRs of live music and do a little bit of editing using sound forge and cool edit. I was thinking about buying a Zefiro audio card. Can anyone tell me something about them? I have been told they are really good. Thanks....

Who makes the Zefiro?
If you can tell me Iwill be able to answer the question more completely.
I suggest you conside the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! series of cards.
I have the CL Sound Blaster Live! Value, it was $50 when I bought it in January and it came with a bunch of software that you could use to record and edit wav files and tons of other stuff. If you want to go all out on a Sound Card, go for the Sound Blaster Live! Platinum, tons of extra features but it is pretty expensive. If you want to hit somewhere inbetween, take a look at the plain ol' Sound Blaster Live!
I hope that helps!

Note: If your motherboard has a VIA Apollo Pro133 chipset, do not get this card.

Somehow it just doesn't seem like a company that I would rely on, but that my humble opinion.
