Seti@Home v3.03 buggy? 2.04 problems

This problem may have been a firewall issue on my side - version 2.04 works fine now on the ailing box - but I don't have time at the moment to re-try 3.03 - I've dropped a similar note to Seti -

I tried version 3.03 on an NT 4.0 workstation today and it kept giving me the error message that a newer version was available - go get it -
so I uninstalled that and put 2.04 back in on this box and it dies trying to connect getting a "fatal error -64" - I wrote Seti about this and have stopped trying to connect for now. I don't think it's my box - even completed a virus scan - it didn't find anything....
For now I'd avoid upgrading Seti clients - They pulled v3 before and it looks like they either need to pull back v3.03 or they might have a server problem.
I'm awaiting an e-mail back from SETI with details - will post here when I know more or successfully connect again with this box.
