Hey All, GameBox news and all that jazz

Well, it's been a little while, and I realized that I wasn't posting updates here as often as I should. I'm sorry about that. GameBox was up, then got taken down by a bad command from my Co-Admin. I'm sorry for the down time, and durring that time, I have made my home rack run UT for you all. I need to finish some of the map rotations, but once this UT has gone through all of the maps correctly, I will then be able to move the INI file straight over to GameBox.

The server is running at my home right now. Two reasons. The first, so that I can fix it and develop it with more hands on work. The other is to keep me from getting fired at work. (wanting to work on it there). Looks like we will have a couple debian based sponsers and we should have some prizes to give out on the official release of the box.

For now, I am working on the database and the web page at 24.20.100.130 (soon to be grahn.org) Some of the features we have been working on include, game queueing on the request form, seeing who's activly in the game, the new web page, and better stability of the games.

I would love input and I am quite sorry about the lack of output. Thanks for dealing with me.

First, GameBox, will and as long as I can, be TA/SO's. I'm not taking it from you guys. I'm asking a favor from you at this time.

I'm tired of trying to get money from people that have already helpped so much. Especially on an idea so very marketable. So, at Comdex I got Linux/Unix based groups to help me out. Now I have a favor to ask of you guys.

I want to release gamebox privately on the first week of dec. This will be to you guys, and to people willing to support gamebox with prizes and other items. One week later it will be public. At this time I expect that most college students will be home, and people will be at their computers.

The plan is that, with the traffic to GameBox, I can then go to my sponsers and ask for "better" equipment. They see the numbers, and agree. At this time, I switch public to their hardware, and GameBox becomes private again.

I know many of you don't have problems with this, and those who supported the box, support this idea, but I want to let you all know what's going on. Please reply with your feelings.
