OK - here's the deal:
Instead of building a completly new windows system for RC5 cracking, i made the ultimate minimalistic system.
this is what the system contains:
Rhino 12 motherboard
AMD k5-90 with heatsink and fan attached
Floppy
floppy cable
2x4 megabyte 72 pin
200 watt PSU
and a table.
This baby cracks rc5
i made a bootdisc and put the rc5 dos client on. requested 999 blocks via email and put them on to.
made an autoexe that fixed a little documented problem about timezones.
configured and tested it on my primary system... and booted.
I am actually stunned that this works - as soon as i am able, i will give you gyus a pic - looks wierd.
basically, it looks like a motherboard, PSU and a floppy lying like a mess.
I haven't tested keyrates or submitted anu results yet, bacause i just turned it on 2 minutes ago! - don't even now if it cracks - i will turn it off in a few hours, and check the buff-out on the disc
What do you think i should name it?
The Bovine Phoenix-like Beast Who Returned From The Terrors Of My Drawer To Crack RC5
or
Rufie (the dog from the ninth hell in Baldurs gate)
Seriously - what should i call it? an abomination like that must have a name...
BTW - this is the setup i plan to submerge!
~Wiruz - i'll keep you updated

UPDATE:
Just upgraded it to a K6-233, which also works fine.... Can't believe that i can get these to work - this hardware has been unused for over a year, just lying in my drawer... - ill get some pictures later today
