Anyone else having problems with @Home recently. I had no connection all day yesterday and I'm starting to get pissed. Just wondering if it's area or network wide. They need to learn some responsibility. I'd be looking for a new job if someone was unable to get to the corporate network for 24 hours. Why don't they hire competent people?

Not here... the connection has been pretty good, perhaps even better than in the previous week. I'm still waiting on DSL though, and I'll run both at the same time for a while before deciding which to dump, assuming I dump one of the two.

The only problems I have had with it were related to a field crew severing or forgetting to reconnect a cable. It does appear that they don't communicate this internally very well....my office network was offline for a day and a half last week, and they assured me there was no problem at their end...uhHuh..

Hey wild i have been having probelms with mine. For some reason when i get off from school early about 12:15 my cable modem box is blinking. I think there upgrading or playing with the cables. it just recently came out here so im expecting that. PLus when im watching tv the cable would go on and off every once in a while.

I just HAD to go jinx myself. When I got up this morning, I was offline. I checked my server and it was still on the network (it has a tendency to crash or kill eth0), I went down to actually look at it. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif It was then I noticed the cable modem was cycling through trying to get a connection. About 15 minutes later, it succeeded and I was back.

A bump, but it did happen. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I estimate I was offline for at least 3 hours... good thing I was asleep. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I was having severe problems with mine a few weeks back.

I would get bumped randomly through out the day. I would be down roughly 1/2 the day.

It has since cleared up, the funny thing is that I would call @Home and they would say everything was fine.

Who knows.
