like light black,
blue, teal, green whichever.

Just turn down the brightness on the monitor while on this site and don't sit in a poorly lit room cos that makes it worse.

Could be worse, like...fluorescent pink.

I find it rather blinding as well. Turning the monitor down really doesn't help much. It just seems to darken everything else, making the white seem even brighter.

For me it's not too bright, but I do agree there should be different color combinations for this BBS, I've seen a few others that use the exact same software but dif. color's a few were nice, one had a kind of "rain" theme-dark.
One of our members posted his website w/a BBS on it, I'd like to know who that was, oh well.

Maybe SysOpt would consider it... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Hmm.. Must be something with your eyes.. Perhaps you should pay a visit to the Optomotrist? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I find the colors on this Site to be Optimal for viewing. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I think whacky colors can often make a site look, unprofessional.

Yeah i agree with brandon. I think these colors make the board look professional in it's own way. Just wear your sun glasses when your on sysopt. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif That's what i do http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Sometimes at least http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Not really http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif It really doesn't bother me too much.

Sorry I have to vote to keep it this way. Easy to read.

Well, we certainly appreciate your feedback. However, I doubt we'll be changing much of anything with the forum for the next couple of months... especially color.

One reason the color is like it is is that it produces a very readable printout and doesn't consume a lot of ink whenever you do print.

I agree that the white and gray look a lot more professional, but an R/C site I frequent was using black as the background and it was a lot easier on the eyes. Any way it could be made user-selectable? Now that would solve all our problems.
