Why two 3.5's? you can do the same things with one.....besides you can use the open bay to add something else to your monster....

Sounds like a great system to me, outside of 2 floppies? What's the reason for 2 of them?

Most of the stuff you say sounds like good parts. 1 flopy 2 floppy 3 floppy 4....

Well, the next sys sounds good for using the old stuff in, but I woud go with a TNT2 instead of the ATI ( Ive used the 32M ATI, it aint so great, my old TNT is better in my opinion).

Is your ram SDRAM?, if so, is it PC-100?
You will need PC-100 for a P2 400 sys.

Sounds like a good system; good amount of RAM you have in there and a nice size hard drive too. What motherboard is it?

I have a system very much like yours, but with only 128MB of EDO and 6.2GB hard drive, and it does everything quite well for me. Funny thing is that 4 years ago my system was worth about $3000 (not that I paid that much for it, I got most of it for $50) now it would probably only resale for about $350 w/ monitor. So I'm keeping mine too, as part of the home net.

I have 2 floppys because I do a lot of coping for my work. To me it is quicker to just go A to B on my desktop.

BBA--I will take your suggestion and look into a tnt2 for my video. My ram is actually sdram at 66mhz. My new ram will be 100 mhz.

Cmonster--My motherboard is an Aopen AP5T by Acer.
Not to get mushie, But I was starting to think that my system was a so-so. That's bad since I did the building. I do have a good coach when I really need an answer.

thanks
