Bad first, my PIII 450@558 finally died this week. I mean it went like a light bulb. I thought at first it may have been my BE-6 motherboard but I tested it with a Cel333 and it work fine, actually I managed to over run that chip @ 415 for 1 night.
Good News, I bought a PIII600E flipchip with an Abit sloket for $324 with tax at a local computer show (couldnt wait to order it online for cheaper).. it rocks so far... Not gonna try anything for another couple of days till it burns in. So far it benchmarks at 1,804k
Im hoping I can get 805mhz out it, I doubt I can get 865mhz. Never could get that yield(133) out of the PIII450 dunno whether it was the PIII(costa rica) or my other PCI stuff (sound and modem)

Anyway what does this have to do with RC5, it means. I will now be able do ALOT more blocks from home. WOO WOOOOOOO.

Later this summer, My partner wants to set up a 2 pc lan, working off of our DSL connection. He wants a cheap pc, I'll prob convince him to get a Cel II later this summer so we can OC it.
**More RC5 blocks, YIPPIE.

Plus I start a new job May30, they have 3 Compaq dual Xeon 550 servers + 40 desktops and 50 laptops.... WHOA>>>>>
I havent tested the waters yet about RC5, didnt want to sound like a terrorist in the 2 interviews. :-)
Look out Ollie, I may closing in on your tail soon.

Persuade them, that would be amazing!! I've got a few work PCs on the go at present but they are rather on the sly. Can't push it too far, there is no way I could get them to include RC5 in our corporate build http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif . Shame as there are ~ 1000 PCs in my building alone. Still at least I've made it to the sysopt/tweakit top 100 at last.

Good luck

Alphaguy - Looks like the good news more than compensates for the bad. Good luck in the new job. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

FishyUK - First welcome to the top 100.
But a word of warning if you run the client without the company's permision and they complain about it to Distributed Net then the whole team can be kicked of the compitition, so please make sure it's ok with the boss.

I just checked the stats page and can't find your email are you cracking under a different email or for a different team?

Hi,
Nice new chip, but don't expect 800MHz from it, as my FCPGA in an Asus P3V4X with Asus Slocket won't go above 744Mhz.

Doh!!!!
typo... The new chip is a 65oE not a 600E.
We'll see how far I can push it.

Sharpy, I'm @ no 93 today (I show as my name, not fishyuk). just ahead of AuraEdge. Just flushed ~10,000 units today from my home PC.
IT Admin are fine, if anything goes wrong I have to support it myself. Just not going to get them to add it to the nightly EDM manager install, pity, would be very nice.
Getting my M700 soon, first one had a duff battery (DOA). Only PII366Mhz but I'll be able to leave it on most of the time to supplement my Athlon

Cheers

Alex

fishyuk, may i suggest joining the pproxy http://24.72.9.177 ?? It's stats update hourly or as of late, every 10 minutes... It beats the tar out of d.net's stats and adds for more competition among team members... You can check out the pproxy's latest stats at http://24.72.9.177/newrc5 (http://24.72.9.177/newrc5...)
