Maybe I am not the one to say this, since I was one just a couple of days ago, but I have been noticing a lot of new guys coming out of nowhere, passing me, and getting over 3 K per day! This has been 3 in the past 2 days that have come outta nowhere, and passed me.

These are the tree that I have noticed moving up fast. My guess is that they just joined, and they got more than one computer Crunching away. If this is you, please Explain what happened, I am very curious.

BTW: I just completed 715 Blocks yesterday at a rate of 2.22 KK/sec. That is pretty good to me. Todays should be even better.

****. Your lucky to be having al thjose comps running for u. All I got is a P III 500 @ 620. Sometimes, when I feel like it, I get another P II 266 in for a couple a days.

I just got teh P II 266 up and running with my Cllient. I will leave it until saturday, then I will make a big dump with that one. It will probably be about 500 blocks.

Good for you! A PII266 really isn't a bad processor for cracking... that's what I've done almost all of my blocks on so far...

Smokey,

Just remember, this is a long term project, a stamina race if you will. I started with a Celery 450a for a long time and now I have 14 full time machines and 4 part time machines. You just have to know where to look and be persistent.

Yes, I've got a plan in mind of some other machines that I can put the clients on, but there's only like a 30% chance of that happening.

I started out with a K6-266, K6-2 400 and a P133.

Then got a PII300 and overclocked to 450, then Celery 300a oi/c to 504 and so on....

Now I've got about 30 part-time computers, and 3 full-time ones.

You may start off slow (I used to only have 100blocks/day first), but it will get better. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
