Why did this happen? and another question aswell.

1. My friend sent me an email on the 31st of March, and it arrived in my inbox this morning. I can send you the message source from outlook if you want to see the details.

2. You know I use a 56k line to connect to my isp, what does my isp connect to? I guess it has something like an OC192 line, but where does this connect to?

Thanks.

1) The date can be determined by his computer or the computer that sends/recieves the email. Doesn't always mean the actual date.

2) Don't know who your ISP is so I can't tell you. My last Dial-Up had three OC3 lines. I doubt yours has an OC192--there really aren't too many of those. Thier computers attach into a backbone--which is a fat pipeline that companies like Sprint, AT&T, GTE, MCI etc have running. Basically it is called the Internet, because it is a network across the world--every computer is interconnected.

sometimes you get late mail because of traffic, sometimes i get mine like 10 seconds or 3 seconds after they are sent. Sometimes it takes a day. Darn it! i hate it when it takes a day for you to answer something you need to answer within' a day. Oh well, can't wait til' i get something better than this Winmodem, i want a external 56k. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
