FYI,

ATA66 is an IDE specification http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

SCSI interfaces are avaliable in many styles. Built-in to the motherboard, Add-on ISA and PCI cards. Also within the scsi family there is MANY specifications that mainly deal with through-put and how many devices can be configured on a single bus.

Do they make motherboards with them built in or must you occupy a PCI slot?

I'm wanting to go to an ATA66 HD on my next system but haven't tampered with any SCSI stuff at all.

ok good, I wanted to find out for a new SCSI burner.

I just wanted to know if I should take this into consideration when buying a new mobo.

Thanks for the help.
