Is there any possible way to have 2 ps/2 ports on your computer?

If not, then WHY not? It seems to me that if the ps/2 port can run a mouse at 200hz then why couldn't some sort of adapter be used to connect 2 mice to the one ps/2 port...each mouse running at 100hz. That would rock.

...your mission, if you should choose to accept it...

You should be able to purchase a second serial port for about 15us dollars.

Can't you get a Y adapter to hook up two mice at once? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you...

Steve, I don't want a serial port, I want another ps/2 port...BIG difference.

Warthog, Can you do that? A Y-cable to the ps/2 port? I don't think that works...I could be wrong though.

Dont you already have two PS/2 ports? one for mouse and one for keyboard?

I know that you can use a Y adapter for a serial port because I made one that plugged a mouse and a graphics tablet into the same port without problems after I made a different profile in system properties for the different hardware.

I know they sell Y adapters for PS/2 sockets, usually they're called IBM thinkpad adapters as this laptop comes with one PS/2 that supports Keyboard and mouse in the same port, donk know if it'll work with two mice though.

What I've seen is a Y adapter for graphics people, I guess. They were empasizing useing a regular mouse and a trackball at the same time.

I'll try to find one for you.

I bought a PS2 Y-cable from Cyberguys (http://www.cyberguys.com/) for about $3.
Haven't used it so can't vouch for it. I was ordering anyway & it was too cheap to pass up since I was already paying shipping.

PS/2 port
A hardware interface that uses the PS/2 connector plug and socket. PS/2 ports are used for the serial port to connect a mouse and the keyboard port to connect the keyboard. In order to conserve space on some laptops, one PS/2 port is used for both mouse and keyboard and is switchable between them.

You can get "serial ports" with either a nine pin connector or a ps2 connector.
