It looks like every Monday will be the perfect day for me to schedul big block dumps. I now have more computers running the client at school and I have talked the students into leaving them run over the weekends.

I am not purposely holding blocks, I just can't get into the school to dump them. Not all of the computers are on the network, so I have them set for offline always.

LOL.....Gotcha! I figured it was something like that. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I just dont have that many..Mine at work has a live connection 24/7 and those couple I have at home are on my mini network so really easy to update when I'm online.

Three of my four at home are on a peer to peer network (soon to become a real "hub" network with a server). The kids enjoy being able to have all three online using a proxy server program and one modem.

Due to Monday being a holiday, will you be dumping on Tuesday?

I will always be dumping on a Monday (or first day back to school, whichever comes first).

Just saying cause I've been saving a few blocks and if you would be dumping on Tuesday, I will do the same.

Let me know, maybe we can coordinate another group dumping for Tuesday.

Nope... no overclocking on this baby thanks to my stupid Gigabyte motherboard that you can't change any settings on! I get about 744kkeys per second on it, and I leave it running 24/7 most of the time.

And cwizard... it's definately a mean machine though!

cwizard,

That goes for your Mean "secondary" system. Your primary, is that a small ranch in Texas???

http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Ya I guess, http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif your small dump of 38k + will help. What do you think guys????

Would settle for a backyard of cows personally. Maybe someday.........

Smokey,
Are you saying you can get 3000 blocks per day off of a single processor?? That IS truly impressive as I think it works out to 9.3Mkeys/sec...if I worked the math correctly http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

(3000 blocks/day) * (1day/24hours) * (1hr/60min) * (1min/60sec) * (268,435,456 keys/block) = 9.32Mkeys/sec!!

I think this calculation is correct as it works for my statistics...either your are mistaken or you have a seriously fast processor!!

oh...I just noticed you said your keyrate is 744Kkeys therefore:

(744Kkeys/sec) * (1block/268,435456keys) * (60sec/1min) * (60min/1hr) * (24hr/1day) = 239.5 blocks/day.

That sounds more like it.

Note: I'm not trying to bust your bubble... or anything else for that matter...I've just been trying to get a handle on the calculations and rates myself, so this was a good exercise.
