I have the IE5 setup exec but when I launch it I get a dialog box that says "Setup was unable to download information about available sites. Setup may have been unable to use your current proxy server settings. Click advanced if you know your proxy settings. The network may be busy..." It seems that I cannot get into any Microsoft site (MSN.com, microsoft.com, etc.) I never had this problem until I uninstalled IE5. Strange. baffled 05-30-1999, 04:56 PM about a week ago my hard drive was reformatted, couldn't get to windows update so downloaded ie5 and still can't and can't get into any other ms site either, can browse but can't get to ms sites. Chas 05-31-1999, 12:32 AM IE5 was crashing my system so I uninstalled it. I would like to re-install it but I can't get into any Microsoft sites. I couldn't download it from CNET either. I re-installed WIN 98 and IE4 and still no luck. Apparently, it's some sort of proxy problem that I can't fix. I called my ISP and they were useless. Can someone help! SysOpt.com
