We have no idea. It's said d.net coders didn't spend enough time to optimize csc clients since they thought the contest wouldn't last over several weeks, the time would be better used on other projects than trying to make their clients faster.

dcypher net's csc client is roughly 2 times faster than those from d.net. My k6 350Mhz works with 55Mbps=55m/64=850kkey/s, while d.net csc client only work around 500Kkeys/s under same circumtance. You might want to switch to dcypher's csc client if you hate the low keyrate of d.net.

Since I've started cracking on CSC my rate has dropped by 2/3 - any reasons why that would be. Or is it just that cracking CSC takes longer per block than RC5?

Thanks for the comments, however I think I'll stay loyal to dnet and Team Sysopt! I can handle a slow keyrate. I don't mind how slow I'm helping as long as I'm helping. Kind of payback for some overclocking advice I got here once!

hai, are you cracking for a DCypher team yet? Is there a DCypher Sysopt team yet? Would you be interested in creating one?

Since they now have proxies. I am going to see if I can generate stats from them. So that anyone who wants to stay with DCypher can feel like they are apart of the whole sysopt/teakit team no matter what they are doing.

I'm afraid the potential sysopt dcypher csc team can not catch up 3dnow and anandtech teams because they are doing pretty well there. The computation resource of sysopt team is fairly limited and we should focus on a few things all together rather than spread ing our energy on every things. If many memebers want to join dcypher csc contest, we can create a dcypher sysopt team. If everyone feels "loyalty" to d.net, then forget it.
