I did a search here and had a few hits, but I am looking for a good FTP proggy to upload Dreamweaver/photoshop files. WS FTP seems to be a 30-day trial only, and CuteFTP has that Aureate trojan in it. Any suggestions on a decent easy-to-use proggy, preferably free?
Thanks in advance!! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Toadman,
FYI, WS-ftp is a FREE unlimited time proggy AS long as it is for HOME, PERSONAL use. The 30day trial is for EDUCATIONAL, WORK, or for profit use http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Actually, I think the one I downloaded was WS-FTP LE which is the light version and it's not a trial. Works just dandy for me.

I downloaded WS-FTP pro and it states that it WILL cease to function in 30 days, regardless of home or business use. hmm..

I like cuteFTP. when you click on a ftp link in MS IE and you have cuteFTP open, it will copy the link and open the ftp connection in cute FTP which is good and it will even copy over the passwords.
I like it.
I just downloaded coffe cup ftp. I really like it. I have tried many others including ws ftp bulletproof, cute, and I think it is the best.

Why don't you just use Explorer? It seems to work great and it's already on you system. You can see the FTP site right along with your own files/folders and just drag 'n' drop between them.
However, before I realized that Explorer can do FTP, I used to use Cupertino FTP. It's completely free, but better than that is it's simple approach. IOW, it doesn't install all kinds of .DLLs or .INIs or even any registry settings...it doesn't try to integrate itself into your OS...it doesn't even need to be installed...you just run it, and to "uninstall" it, you delete it. Plus it'll show you in one of it's window panes the actual Unix commands happening in the background (I liked that).
Wanna give it a try, go here: http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/CupertinoFTP/index.html
