RAM kills Keyrate?

I had 196 before and got 151 blocks for 3 days. I let my friend borrow 64 and didnt change anything else...
Now it get about 64 for 3 days...
Thats a BIG difference!

What kinda comp u got? I get over 120 blocks in 3 days with a p133 and 32 megs of ram.24/7 though

Ok..im seriously doing sumthing wrong if thats the fact...I just used the long RC5 benchmark, and those are the numbers i get

Oh sorry bout that..I guess I did change sumthin else...it was my L2 cache ECC..When i shut it back off, I got my 151 in 3 days back.

I've noticed, before, with less than "recommended" ram for the OS(Win9x). Keyrates will be slightly lower, but not by much, maybe .03-.05 KKeys/s. Of course, with more than the "recommended" amount keyrates were unaffected.

But my experience may be an isolated incident. /forum/smile.gif

Hi,

First of all, you are looking at the benchmark, which I find reports 1.10MKeys/sec, while in reality, on mine, it is 1.42MKeys/sec - I have a Celeron 504A.

Second, the blocks that you are reporting are the largest the client will take, which is usually x31 blocks. there is 8 x28 (normal) keys/blocks in a x31 block.

I always ignore the benchmark, just test it out by leaving it on for a night and see whats the keyrate.
