I have been trying to re-install ICQ after a re-format. Every time I get through the installation fine, but when I try to use my existing ICQ #, I get this:

This is with 2000a ver, but I get a similar message in 99a ver, except it says "the field ICQ# is not a valid *******".

Does antone know what the heck is going on? I really don't want to register for another #.

alos, you should convert your database AFTER you successfully register your old number.

Ssure you didnt put a decimal or a space or a spare character in it by mistake?

The message seems to say that it thinks the number u put in isnt a number, or a whole number.

OK, got it to work now, thanks for the tip.

I was copying my ICQ# from my Sysopt profile and pasting it. For some reason unknown to me, there was an extra "invisible" character after the last digit. I backspaced to erase it and presto, I was on.
