Can anyone explain this to me ?
I have got group policies set up for groups of people with custom program folders etc. depending on what access I want them to have. These policies work fine normally on all of the machines on the network.
I have set up a machine policy which when that machine logs onto the network everything is okay and the policy works fine, but the machine does not get the group policy for whoever logs in so they don't get their custom folders or restrictions. Can anyone tell me why the machine will pick up the machine policy but not the group policy.
I know the machine policy is picked up because I've displayed a custom message before log on that only this machine has. I have installed the option for group policies.
The machine is a WIN98 SE laptop and the server is NT4 Config.pol file.
Is there any difference between the poleditor on WIN95 disks or WIN 98 I've tried both but with no luck
I'm new to policies so anything you can think of would be a help.
Thanks
